It doesn't retract. When I move the throttle, it moves away from the tip of the plunger, causing the plunger to move OUTWARD toward the throttle a little bit then it finally stops because the throttle is too far away to touch. The Plunger does not retract back into the ISC!! I push it in a 1/4 inch, where it sits when the throttle touches it.

The plunger is always pressing against the throttle, and it is 'back' when I don't relieve the throttle pressure.

When the throttle is pushed away from the plunger, how do I get a 0.60 gap?? It can be as much as a 1/2 inch away from each other!

Do I just keep turning the plunger bolt until it is a gap?

My old Injector assy. does the same thing.

Sorry, I'm trying to get this.....

Yes.

You ARE doing this with the ISC motor powered up (idling) aren't you?

I'm just figuring out HOW to do it before I do it...(Incorrectly)

Remember "all my glitches?" I refilled the coolant due to it getting hot, I hope it was just low coolant.... Before I can idle it to adjust ISC.

Couple days ago, as I slowly cruised around these Beach area streets for 15 minutes, it got VERY hot! >240< (about 70 degrees outside temp)..... Wondering if the higher idle was part of the temp. problem?

Mano-man....

Hmm, I don't recall if the PCM will increase the idle if the temp gets too high, but my suspicion is no, it just turns the fans on.

I had the car at idle. Temp stayed at 117. ( I solved the high coolant glitch?!)

No white smoke.... Whew! At least today..... As I'm trying to solve the gas-smoke glitch..... it went away???? Huh???

Now, I unplugged the ISC. It is ALWAYS against the throttle at idle. Screwed in the plunger/bolt. It NEVER gapped from the throttle. It just bottomed out. < What's up with this??>

Plugged it back in. ( car stayed at 117 degrees) Idle maybe a TAD lower, but at 900 to 1,100 rpm.

Now, since I had to have the airbox removed to gain access to the ISC plunger adjustment, I'll re-install the airbox and see what happens.

If no improvment, off to the parts store for an ISC Actuator or call Braisilton.

NOW... since the throttle is ALWAYS against the plunger at bottom (low idle)..And the idle is still up a bit ..What's the point getting another one, if it will bottom out also? ( I can't adjust any lower than bottom)

After then I'll tackle the possible glitch to the FPR.

New name for the car: Christine

Time for a cigar.....
