Can anyone tell me what's the right way of programming this? Thanks. |

Assuming you have the homelink with the yellow light as that is the only one that will work with security plus openers. Hold down one of the buttons on your homelink until it begins to flash then push and hold the button on one of your remotes. Once it is programed go to the motor in your garage and push the learn button then run or get someone else to push the button you programed inside the car. Any questions pm me. Note if you have the homelink with the red light I don't think it will work but on a good note you can remove the unit from your car and get a replacement on ebay or from your local dealer just make sure it has the amber light. |

However the homelink unit in your car is removeable. Take it out and sell it on ebay then find the one with the amber light and it will work. |

1. Press and hold the two outside homelink buttons (1 & 3) in for 30 seconds (the little amber LED light should flicker then go out/off).
What this does is erase anything that was previously programed.
2. Hold your garage door remote close to your homelink buttons then press and hold your remote button and homelink button (the one that you wish to program) in at the same time for 30 seconds.
What this does is match up your remote and homelink.
3. Push the learn button on your garage door opener one time, the LED should come on and stay on.
What this does is puts your garage door opener into the programing mode.
4. Go back to the vehicle and press and hold the homelink button that you programed earlier until you see the garage door opener light come on and go off.
5. Remember that the homelink system does not function like a garage door opener remote, you usually have to hold the homelink button in a little longer.
6. Everyting should work just fine.

Rolling code DOES work. It is not quite like it is in the manual. I have my parents rolling code door programmed on my seville and my parent's deville. |

Red light units will only do fixed code. When I bought mine on eBay I think I paid ~$45 for a rolling code unit. Search completed auctions and see what they have been selling for. |

It must be the amber light on the unit otherwise it will not work. |
