Opinions on these performance products

Stumbled across this web site which offers several performance products for my 2000 sts. does this stuff work? sorry I am not a mechanic but would love to get a little more giddy up.

Stay away from those. They will only harm your ride.
Don't be fooled by a "cold air" intake. I got one and I have a decrease in power. The stock one is already cold air. Just get a K&N filter panel.

There's no supercharger's or turbo's either so that's out of the question. Only one Turbo has been done and it cost well over 10k. Your car is about as fast as it can be. You could get NOS but you N* has to be in perfect shape to handle that. Plus I wouldn't go with more than a 75 shot and even that's pushing it.

-You could modify your stock air box (search forum thread's)
-I just put in new E3 Spark Plugs and noticed a good difference, could try those
-Go with the Corsa Exhaust system for your car. runs about 1200k but worth it.
-get a strut tower brace from your local Caddy dealer for $45 to improve handleing ALOT!!!
-I heard you can Take the dual piston caliper's from a Buick JL9 pr something like that. (STS2003 has that)

but ya, not to much you can do with your N*. But it's already fast as hell so you should be please man.

exhaust: Corsa
pcm: tune pm member AJ
brakes: me fronts jl9 Lucerne Calipers and rotors=direct bolt on, nothing for rears sorry
grilles: E&G classic
stereo: me factory navigation
suspension: springs-Eibach, strut tower brace GM part number 25653157

Yea do some looking around. And if you find anything and have any questions about it post it here in this thread. You could try some spark mods. 8MM wires (msd or accel) And some MSD coil packs or accel coil packs. Not sure if anyone has tried the coil packs on there caddy here but im sure you'll have some better performance. And for the NOS thing...Dont do it unless you have your block timeserted or something of that nature. Because theres a risk of lifting the heads. And there are lots of other risks if you dont get it set up right.


Best bet are spark mods,exhaust mods, some refreshing of parts/cleaning. Maybe a K&N panel filter. I never went the K&N filter rout because the area i live in can get pretty dusty at times.


Seriously. More air flow= more particles. Im sticking with my paper filter.


Like said above dont fall for the CAI's!!!! The stock system has some major flow! If you havent done a filter change now is the time. Im sure you have plenty of dirt and bugs jammed in your filter. That will couse performance loss.
