can someone tell me the color of the stock paint

whats guys need some help again. i have a dent on my right front fender i need to get fixed. anyways i went to a body shop and he needs my gas cap to match my paint and i dont want to drive around without it. so i was wondering if someone here might now the number or color because its a stock paint from gm

so please if anyone knows the extact color please post and i will be on

Look on the RPO sticker under the spare tire cover and find the 3 or 4 character code down in the middle of the sticker that looks like BC/CC 379U or some such. That's the paint code.

Go up into USER CP and enter your car, year, and mileage in your name/sign in.

Talamant3z, Yep, that's it: the GM paint code.

Go to the top of one of these forum pages and find the sticky entitled "RPO Codes". Download the .pdf file and use it to decipher all those 3-character codes on that sticker. That will tell you exactly what's in your car, normal and optional parts and systems. One of those codes will also give you the name of the paint color. Pay attention to what looks like 1's and I's. It makes a difference in the code.

Probably wants to use a paint color analyzer to get a correct match taking into account age and fading of your car's paint.

Yup, 46U - Shale outside and 15I Shale inside. Shale on Shale, just like mine. Not quite silver, more of a Pewter, changes in different light. Not sure how Cadillac calls the interior the same color as it is much different.

Look like quite the GM fan PontiacV8, I see you have a 91-92 GTA there, cool! I didn't know you could buy those in Europe! Used to have a white 91 GTA 5.7 TPI car...I miss it! Oh well, the STS is just as fast and way more comfy!
