Anyone have experience with Arnott air ride suspension?

I need to replace all of my struts. I am looking into the Arnott Industries Air Suspension
http://www.arnottindustries.com/part...id6_pid31.html

Has anyone ever had any experience with these folks? If so, what do you think. Good enough to put on your car again? I really need to replace my suspension but I don't want to disable the sytem with Monroe's or other passive systems.
Let me know what you think.

Lloyd

Re: Anyone have experience with Arnott air ride suspension?

It seemed like the best option to me, so I gave them a shot. Replaced my rear shocks about 3 months ago and I have been pleased.

I would encourage you to do a search, you will find several pages of posts/opinions concerning the arnott and other brand replacements.

Good luck
Eric

Arnott has been an authorized vendor here since nearly the beginning and I haven't had a single complaint...

Re: Anyone have experience with Arnott air ride suspension?

Lloyd,

I resently purchased and installed the Arnott Front/Rear Shock kit for my 94 Concourse. I went with the passive struts in front and kept the gas shocks
in the rear. While the ride has improved, especially on smooth roads, it still doesn't handle the bumps in the road as you would expect. The struts seem to distribute the bumps through out the car and not absorb them. I took an independent mechanic for a ride and he agrees the ride is not what you would expect from new struts. I've sent an email to Arnott with my concerns and I'm still waiting for a reply from them.
If anyone else has this problem I would appreiate any advise on how to remendy the problem.

Was this issue resolved? I'm looking at several different replacement options and am curious if they took care of the problem or if it was a problem elsewhere.

Re: Anyone have experience with Arnott air ride suspension?

Passives are not the same as the CVRSS shocks you're used to, hence they damp at one rate, not vary over different surfaces and thus 'smooth' out the ride over rougher roads. I have Arnotts and Eibachs, love them both, since I have never used Arnotts with stock springs I can't speak to how it rides in that setup, also the rear Arrnott shocks are air shocks just like the OEMs, there's no difference, only the fronts differ and are passives instead of continuously variable
