Bad surge tank cap?

Hey all,

My '99 Seville STS just started spewing coolant out of the top of the surge tank, through the neck out from under the cap. Someone told me it was common for the caps to go bad and that they stop holding pressure. I know the system is not overfilled as it's been just fine until day before yesterday. It's also leaving a puddle on my garage floor where it leaks out, down the side of the engine compartment onto the ground.

So, does it sound like the cap? I'm replacing it tomorrow regardless. It's just that I hope there isn't anything else going on.

Lots of possibilities for that. Start with replacing the cap and see where it goes from there.
