95 STS REAR Knuckle Bushings

My 95 is acting like the rear wheel bearing is bad but its really the Knuckle Bushings. I heard these cannot be pressed out and pressed in, you need a new/used Knuckle. Is this TRUE??

Re: 95 STS REAR Knuckle Bushings

Yes. There have been some pretty creative attempts at repair but so far there is NO aftermarket solution.

Re: 95 STS REAR Knuckle Bushings

Is this an issue for the late 90's vehicles only? I'm about to start tracking down a vibration/shake coming from my rear passenger side wheel.

Re: 95 STS REAR Knuckle Bushings

I just ordered a used knuckle from a caddy boneyard in Texas for $150.00.

They say the bushings are "good". maybe i'll have to spend the $595.00 on a new unit. What else can i do.

Re: 95 STS REAR Knuckle Bushings

With weight on the wheels, do the rear wheels push easily in & out at the top as the symptom to this?

Re: 95 STS REAR Knuckle Bushings

take the top of the wheel and push it in and forward.
also going over bumps you can hear it clank because of the all axis joint going around in the sleeve. and also the walking of the car when you drive it

Re: 95 STS REAR Knuckle Bushings

Problem Solved Big Time. Replaced The Knuckle(used) And Threw In A Tire As Well. All Problems Gone. Car Rides Like Glass At All Speeds. Very Happy Now. Its Amazing How The Knuckle Made It Act That Bad. I Have A Great Used Parts Connection. My Used Knuckle Was Very Nice And Was Only 125.00.
