Eldorado Turn Signal Problems?

Remove this ad
I have noticed that this is a big issue for 1990's eldorados and other models. I thought that I would share my experience with my 99 eldorado, to possibly help others. My turn signals stopped working one day, but the hazard lights and side turning lights still worked. I went to Advanced Auto and got a new flasher for 12 bucks and replaced it. Turn signals work fine now. To get to the flasher you need to remove 2 panels directly below the steering column. One is plastic (held on with tabs) and the other is stainless steel. Once removed, you can see the flasher unit behind the lower part of the dash on the left. You have to get down on the floor to see the flasher, it is kind of hidden.

Re: Eldorado Turn Signal Problems?

Just replaced the turn signal flasher on my 98 Eldorado. $7.58 and 10 minutes later all fixed.
