I've got the corsa installed on my 01 STS. Can't say anything that hasn't already been said. Except for I find myself stopping and looking in the garage at those unreal tips everytime I head to the kitchen. Never gets boring! Was just wondering if Crimson could post some pics of your custom setup? Would love to see how you did your airbox. Anyways enjoy ur exaust CadillacsSTS2003 cause I sure know I do |

Details please, especially on the headers! |

Everyone in past Seville/Deville, and all of CF, is waiting for Crimson's explanation of his last sentence. ^^^ It would appear he has been able to accomplish the impossible in a sidewinder Seville.
In his personal profile he also lists a "race suspension " on his '01 STS. 2003 and I would be most interested in this setup also.
Crimson Pimp, How about a picture post of the headers, the cam numbers and specs (timing, overlap, duration), and the head work (if you're anything like the rest of us, you have pics of this stuff in this digital age......... |

or he did the STSi way and got full Bonneville GXP suspension
other than that im gonna say this is the most polite way i can, i think hes totally full of what i just left in my toilet...
you and i both know Sub while we would LOVE for this to be true, we also know how completely unlikely it is.... |

That said, I'm willing to believe Crimson Pimp pending posted proof of these mods. Let's see how long it takes to get a reply. |

the caddy with the above stuff.
1995 ford lightning with a 427 stroker and juice
2000 harley that i chopped and cut up
2004 buell firebolt with minor mods
1992 jeep lifted and worked on as well
1981 trans am with a 455 and turboed
and im currently building a one off from scratch rigid chop, complete with making the frame myself on a frame jig i also made myself, im pretty sure im capable of making anything i may need or want to make
im 31 years old, a GM tech for a living, and i run my own performance and fab shop on the side, i dont need to prove anything to anyone, i know what i can and cant do with my hands, and this is one of the main reasons that i barely post on this forum because the have nots always have to to cry foul because things are out of their realm of talent or theyve never seen it before. its real easy to talk trash over the internet and usually the guys that do that spend 90% of their lives on the internet while the guys like me are out there doing this kind of stuff just to have those guys say "your full of s--t" and you think it bothers me if some of you want to believe somthing or not? my life revolves around doing what i like to do for a living and i could give 2 s--ts if anyone does or does not believe it. at 31 years old ive accomplished more and made more money then most people 10 years older then me. these little internet accusations do not concern me. anyone on here that knows me knows my work and knows what im capable of building and their opinions matter to me. no one elses and especially not the negative ones, and im not like "the rest of you in the digital age". i own more then a few cars and im constantly working on cars at work and out of my own shop ive sent out three sets of heads since then for local guys and installed those cams in two of the cars, the third guy wanted to keep his smooth idle. im not working on my one and only car and cherishing it like its a newborn child and snapppin a pic every five minutes. a ported head is a ported head. if i took pics of every one of them ive handled i could fill my trunk with the pics. what is out of the ordinary or rare to some of you is just another job to me. so with that being said im done with this and this retarded board for now. if any of you ever make it to the new england area feel free to check out some of the local autocross events youll see me there racing along with the SVTOA cobra club

Crimson......No crusade, just very pointed questions concerning things that have been done to a 2001 Northstar/Seville, and things that the average owner/tuner cannot go out and buy.
Who did the head work ? I'd be interested in the amount of "meat" around the siamesed ports which would allow some port matching and smoothing to be done.
Do the front header tubes curl under the engine, or did you somehow enlarge the connector/crossover tube to the rear area ?
There are people in here genuinely interested in this stuff, and you've just opened the dam.........don't get paranoid, put out the word. |

theres not a huge amount of material on the heads to take off but there was enough that i could get rid of some ridges and smooth it out. take down some of the material around the valve stems and contour it. then i sent them to extrude hone to basically polish them not so much port, they used a fine compound.
the headers are like your typical long tube deal they arent to much bigger then the factory manifolds. the purpose of them was to give each exhaust port a free flowing path to the collector rather then fighting all the exhaust flow and tubulance like they do in a common manifold. i can say i would never make another set of those, it truely was a pain in the a$$ and i went through a small pile of tube trying to get a design that worked and would still fit within the cramped space i had. it still has the front pipe that merges into the rear complete with the restricing flatened area to fit under the trans but i made that piece out of stainless and had it ceramic coated as well so it didnt need to be surounded by all the heat shields like the factory one and could be a slightly larger diameter.
all in all the car was down for 6 months while all this went on and was being put back together in my spare time around other customers cars so by the time the heads came back i just wanted the thing back together for reason one, because i missed driving the thing, and reason two, it was taking up one of the lifts at home.
ill know as soon as the instrucor at the school can free up some time and his dyno to une the thing if it was all worth it. he actually ran a full on, very successfull race shop for almost 2 decades but just recently left most of to go tech becuase hes 50 and was tired of the 16-17 hour days.
this was his shop http://www.maximumperformance.biz/index.html and he does stuff that i could only attempt. he is absolutley amazing with a laptop and tweaking engine and trans computers |

I really wanted to go air bags for the susepnsion but after pricing it all out with a few calls to air ride tech (no one that i could find makes a botlon type kit so it was all going to be pieced together) and then figuring in the air tank and compressor it just wasnt cost or space effective so i went the gxp route. it actually came out very nice. i was hoping to lower the car a little more then stock and these did about 1/2 inch. not as much as i wanted to but enough none the less. with the better sway bars and some poly bushings for the sway bars that i trimmed from some i have laying around the shop it all worked out somewhat nicely |

Crimson it sounds like you have got yourself a nice little N* setup man. For sure post whatever pics you can when its all said and done. Especially those dyno results once you get her tested. Wish I could do have the stuff you guys talk about but car engines just aren't my thing. Don't get me wrong I love Cadillacs and the N* but has far as gettin under the hood by myself no way. I run fast and play sports. Cadillacs are just a love of mine which I'm learning more and more about everytime I log onto this site. Keep the knowledge comin guys |
