What do the stock rims weigh?

I'm curious what the stock rims weigh. I have the 16" alloy STS rims on my 1996 STS. As pictured below:



I'm upgrading to 18" Sport Edition KV5 rims because one of the stock rims is bent. I chose these because they're clean, still fairly conservative, and sporty. This is the PHOTOSHOPPED version:



The process of choosing took forever because everything looked bad. These rims are 23 LBS each.

.......Never considered going to 5-spokes on mine, but I gotta say those look good. I think "quietly muscular" instead of "showy" fits the bill.

Nice work. I don't have a spare stocker to weigh......and mine are the '02 chrome 17" 7-spokes, so probably a bit different from yours.

The original four owners before me must have kept it up just like I do. I bought it with 165K on it and it now has 168 and is running strong. I would imagine anyone could paint the pillars with a high-gloss black. That wouldn't cost more than $300 at a local paint shop.

Give me overnight.......I have a set of '03 CTS 17" 7-spokes (like Sevilles except polish/clearcoat, not chromed) and I'll weigh one when I get to the shop.

A 2003 CTS 7-spoke 17" polished wheel weighs 19 lb. 5 oz. Same wheel as 2002 STS 17" chrome.

Won't you lose or at least retain stock unsprung weight with the change to 18's? The tires have to weigh less than the stock 16"ers, right?
