Pondering.....2000 STS

Considering it. I was actually looking to get a brand new vehicle, maybe a 04 Grand Prix GTP or a 05 Chrysler 300c. But, Used would be the best way to go, for insurance reasons espically.

Want to know what to expect from a STS. What are the upkeep costs on these? Also, I found one in my area. No price listed yet. Let me know what you guys think and if you got a carfax and dont mind running one, do that for me please.

Proper Care will work wonders. That looks like a nice one in your link. Make sure you get it on the highway and see if it has a shudder between 60-65 mph BEFORE you buy it.

My SLS had it, annoying but not the end of the world

I own a 2000 SLS, bought new, with 37,000 miles. I have very little to say, which is good, as the car has been pretty much trouble free. Only annoyance is the rapid wear of front brake pads (just put on second set after 19,000 miles.) My car is not one of THOSE with the front end vibration issue, but as the previous poster has suggested, this must be confirmed on the particular car you are considering, and as well there seems to be some potential for wear of bushings in the front suspension, as I have experienced. Search this Forum for a full detailing of these issues. The selling dealer, North Bay Cadillac of Great Neck, NY has provided excellent service support. I've been very satisfied, and would certainly reccommend this car to you.
