Looking for 12V input wiring for xenon ballast

Remove this ad
Hi Folks.... I bought a xenon ballast off Ebay and it came without the 12V input wiring. I need the plug, wiring and magnets so I can finish the installation. I've uploaded a picture on here of what I need. The ballast is supposed to be off a 2004 Seville. The part number on the ballast is: 16531935. I believe the model number is: XLS135.

Thanks in advance! Dale

Re: Looking for 12V input wiring for xenon ballast

ummm
04 STS's were VERY rare and the STS was the only Seville which had HIDS optional

that said you realize youll need 2 acutal HID bulbs and TWO ballasts not one, one for each lamp...

in answer to your ? no better place than the battery for a 12v power, a main source of it is under the fuse box cover in the engine bay were you are to jump the car if need be.

Re: Looking for 12V input wiring for xenon ballast

Hi CadillacSTS2003.....

Thanks for your input. I've already converted everything over with the exception of this one plug, the wires and the magnets, which all gets connected to the original wiring harness. The other side works like a champ. All I need is the part of the harness pictured in the attachment and I'm finished.

Dale

Re: Looking for 12V input wiring for xenon ballast

are you sure the ballast you have is from a Seville?!?!?
ESI shows only 1 harness going in/out of the ballast

Re: Looking for 12V input wiring for xenon ballast

Have you looked at the picture attached to the original post?? I'm not trying to be rude, but it shows the ballast I have and the exact connector I need. The ballast in your drawing does not look like the ballast in my picture. I believe the ballast I have is a newer style and may have been used on the Escalade and the XLR as well. I have seen a ballast like the one your picture (but it was known to be defective so it was of no use). I'm headed out now to start scrounging in the junk yards. I'll let you know if I find anything. If not, hopefully someone in this group may have access to a wreck with the right connector.

Thanks again! Dale

and the balast in the picture came up on GM ESI (electronic service information) for a 2003 Cadillac Seville with HIDS

i wouldnt of posted it and asked you if it didnt come up as the part you claim to have

either way i posted all pics i could find which i THINK are correct for your ballast and it lists the gm part number for the connector as 1.

No, they are an older style, but a great try regardless.

Re: Looking for 12V input wiring for xenon ballast

This car had a damaged headlight enclosure on the left side and the right side was almost completed frosted over from exposure to the sun. I purchased good used units for both sides off Ebay with the accompanying ballasts and converted the car to the xenon configuration. In the process of buying all the parts, the only thing I'm still short is this one pigtail/connector. I'll attach a picture of the other ballast. The ballasts appear identical, but the labeling is a bit different. Maybe a number on this ballast will help you. I appreciate all the effort you're putting into this!

Hi...

The pictures attached to the post I did yesterday at 4:59 PM are pictures of the actual pigtail from the RH side that I installed.
