How to remove instrument panel?

Remove this ad
I've searched the forum, however I couldn't find anything on how to remove the instrumant panel (guage cluster) on my '95 SLS. I want to replace some bulbs back there. Any help would be extremely appreciated.

Re: How to remove instrument panel?

gotta pull the dash pad
thats done via 3 screws in the defrost vent and 4 one behind each dash vent
dash vents are pulled using a flat blade knife or an old credit card between the vent and dash

Re: How to remove instrument panel?

If they're the same as 99, a piece of aluminum roof flashing cut with a notch and filed smooth also works to release the tabs and remove the vents. Gonna patent that and retire...

Re: How to remove instrument panel?

All the same!
Remember one of the defrost screws (the one in the right) is different from the other two, make sure you put it in the same place.
Also ONLY the screw in the left vent needs to be removed, the other three just loose.
