FPR and fuel line question

When I opened the hood, I heard a clicking sound, like a spark wasnt getting to its place, so I replaced the old wires, WHAT A PERFORMANCE GAIN!!! My rpms gain much quicker and engine runs smoother. But after a bit of driving, I opened the hood, to find out that that sound is still there. So I began to track it down by touching stuff. Then I felt the fuel line going from the FPR, and it felt like it was pulsating, not constant, and it sounded like tick tick tick tick, but really fast. Is this normal? Or should I throw the FPR in the can, and get a new one?

That is normal injector pulse noise.
Did you have a misfire? I usually like to replace wire sets and spark plugs as a set on those, they are prone to something called "carbon tracking" that will ruin the new wires (on affected cylinders) if you don't replace both pieces.
If they are carbon tracking, the plug insulator will have a black "growth" on the side that conducts the electricity. Replacing the wires will fix it temporarily but eventually the track will conduct electricity and run the boot on the replacement wire.
You can tell by looking at the old wires, look for a black trail that looks like lightning inside the boot.
Sometimes it is really bad but will show up as misfires under load (heavy acceleration)

sergey21.........for grins and kicks, in order to see the effects of your wire change, remove the engine beauty cover and watch the engine idle on a dark night or in a dark garage. If you're losing any spark energy or have bad boots you'll see arcing and sparking by the offending coil/wire.
