thanks for all the knowledge you and submariner409 and other give on this fourm it saves people money if they do the work and if they choose to take there car to the shop they know what to suggest what might be the problem is. my my 98sls was not overheating but was little past the center line on the tempature gauge when im at a stop light and it never goes past the center line until Im in stop and go traffic. the fan came on and cooled the temp back to center, then as I was driving a few more blocks and temp went to about 235 or so and both fans came on cars temp went back to the center of gauge went to napa auto store and got a thremostat and installed it.while putting some fresh dexcool in I said to myself check the surge line ranger always says check the surge line they get clogged sometimes so surenuff it was clogged I blew in the hose and coolent started to come out so just want to say thank you very much.

I agree! I didn't know sh*t about cars until i bought my caddy a year ago and came to this forum.i still don't know a whole lot but have learned alot from those guys.Thanks alot guys for all you do.
