| Car turns over.. So my car turns over every time it sits for longer than 2 hours. Its a 350 5.7 V8, and the longer it sits, the longer it is to get it started. So, I tried this little test in the morning before school. Pump the gas to open up the throttle to drain the fuel out (car is off) pump it a couple of times, then, in an interval of 5 secs per turn (a total of 30 secs all together) 6 turns; turn the key to ON position but not start, so turn it to on, let everything light up, wait 3 secs, and turn it to OFF position...and do it 4 - 5 more times. And that makes the injectors spit some fuel out. Its then, easier to start. Thing is, would the problem be in my Fuel Pressure Regulator? Hence it sits overnight, and lets the fuel get into my engine, causing it to flood...which leads to it being turned over for a while to try and burn off the excess fuel. Does this make any sense to any of you, or do any of you agree with me at this point?
Because its not; Fuel pump, any of the filters, injectors, alternator (although should get a new one) |
