How do I confirm if my car came with keyless locks so if I buy a new transponder the car will actually be able to pick up the signal.
And does anybody know what the transponders cost and how to program them, I'd rather not buy off ebay as I dont have a credit card and I like to have the product in my hands the instant I hand over any money
And if my car did not come with locks I will probably just get a remote starter which will come with the keyless locks, I figure on these cars that wont be an easy install and may, mess with some electronics is this recommended and is there a specific brand that anyone recommends. |

It talks all about programming, keys, DIC optional functions, exit options, etc.
If your car was OEM equipped with remote, then I believe your car should have 2 transponders, engraved 1 and 2, 2 black keys, and a gray(valet) key. Each transponder corresponds to each driver's preferred settings for a bunch of comfort and convenience options.
To replace the whole set, 2 transponders and 2 keys (maybe plus a valet key, which you should have received) will run around $400 or more. Dealer programming.
Cadillacs hate remote starters. Search in these threads. |

BTW, take a look at the post on keys, in here, down 8. |

I know when I worked at a ford and a toyota store, we had GIANT boxes for used car keys/key fobs, that had been brought in for a trade and they make their way into the box.
Have the dealership reprogram them, it will be $50-60 |

Its probably because I have just been retarded the last couple of weeks. It should be in your owners manual, and if its not, someone on here could probably tell you how to do it. |

If the car has the memory preset option I'll bet you a it has keyless entry
2) Find one or two remotes - if Adamh's source doesn't work also try a stereo shop - but his idea is better
3) Search threads here to figure out if you can program it yourself or if a Tech II tool is necessary you have a trip to the dealer coming. |

Blyth are you looking for the key FOB? As in the thing on your keys with the buttons....
Or are you looking to install the receiver in your car because it didnt come from the factory with keyless entry?
I assumed you were looking for the fob, because I was under the impression that all Sevilles came with keyless entry, henceforth you would not need the receiver.
Now I am completely confused.... |

I dunno if these will work but i assume they send out the same kind of signal regardless of who makes them.
just like these ones: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dodge...spagenameZWDVW
