Granted I am extremely new here, but it seems to me that the advice and problem solving knowledge that any cadillac owner gains from this site is invaluable, er...at least worth 5.00 bucks a month!

I agree the site should certainly be supported, but for doing so most of these overwhelming ads should be removed. I can't even run a search without the results being all jacked up, right aligned because of ads, etc.

I agree. That's one of the reasons I don't do monetary support. But I give lots of tech support when I can!

Wow, I am surprised by the responses, I figured people would get pissed. Sometimes in communities like this people think there is some time requirement as to when you become a "member." Good to know llac owners are not so.

Yes, this forum has been an invaluable part of owning Cadillacs. I can't imagine how much time, money, and trouble Cadillac Forums and it's members have saved me over the years. I'm more than happy to lend my support.

About three years ago when I became a supporting member a lot was done to remove ads and ease forum navigation after signing in as a supporter. But lately it is as though we get less and less conveniences and perks as far as ads and navigation goes. So thats a bit disappointing, but its still the Cadillac of forums nonetheless.

This site is so valuable to me, that I would be embarassed not to cough up 5 bucks a month. Admittedly, it took me a few months to make the plunge though.

Unfortunately the online forum business is very much like any other publishing business in that the subscribers contribute a lot less cash than the advertising.

Flame me if you must. I've commented on this in the past and never received a response. None of the member perks appeal to me at all except the first one and even it is tolerable with DSL and blockers. I certainly understand that it costs to run a site and I would like to help but $60/yr is a lot for what I use it for.
I've asked about a tiered membership other than Dealer or Vendor that offered less but I don't know if it's do-able.

I mean it just makes good sense. I can see someone not supporting if they are never on here, but the first time someone saves you from making a $300 mistake you should be able to hook up the site with $5 a month ya know.
