Could a '95 Eldo have DRLs?

My newly purchased '95 Eldo ETC seems to have its headlights on during the daylight. They are on whether the vehicle is in park or drive, BUT, during the day the little green light by the headlight control knob that illuminates when the headlights are on is NOT illuminated and the IPC cluster is at full illumination. At night, the green light comes on (just as if twilight sentinel is turning on the lights) and the IPC cluster illumination is dimmed according to the rheostat setting of the light switch.

Is it possible that the former owner may have installed some type of DRL retro-fit? Did GM offer these? Is it hardware or just a programming change using a Tech-1? If it is a GM retro-fit, any ideas on how it might be disabled?

Well, I think I found the answer to my own question. TSB 53-82-09 Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) Retrofit Kits was issued October, 1995.

Although I now know it apparently is retrofitted with kit# 12341366, the TSB doesn't in clude instructions so I don't know what changes it made so that they could possibly be undone.

This rings a bell. We used to do these 12 years ago I guess. The instructions are probably in the kit .
