See they say the market isn't there for a premium lux coupe, hence the eldo's demise. But some how mercedes find a way to keep all their coupes now for years and years. A new dts coupe would be amazing, and they would have younger buyers lined up for it. |

Sure looks bad ass from behind, and all other angles. |

Yes there are lots of "Caddy Firsts" But most of the cool technology firsts over the years belong to Oldsmobile:
First Auto tranny, First mass produced high compression V8, First power brakes, First (for gm) aluminum block engine, first (for gm) turbo, First mass produced FWD, First Air Bag, First (for GM) passenger car diesel (whoops!), First on board Nav, First HUD, First keyless entry. etc. etc

| The xlr was built to compete with the mercedes benz sl. And while you can get a v xlr you cant get one with a v12, like you can in the sl.
Even with the xlr cadillac has nothing to compete with the cl,clk, and slk. |

If you want to own a post 2000 mercedes or bmw.... just stick with the Caddy. Believe me, I know, I have owned 3 (company) Mercs and 1 Bmw, and they paid twice their price in repairs. The Bimmer was a "lease car" so no problem there. Take in consideration that we drive a lot faster here. The caddy is my personal car, it doens't come cheap in Europe either, but the drive is a lot smoother, has great response and is way more confortable than the Mercedes. My eldo has 132K on the odo, and still goes daily up to 100/110 mph on the autobahn, without any major engine problems so far.... It's a great car, and I wouldn't trade it for ...... except maby for the 5 or 600 series.....but then it doubles or tripples the price of a Caddy. |

Jeep is good because of high off-road capability, Dodge is good because of cheap and feels sport. But Chrysler, it have to be much more quality to compare against european competetiors. But Cadillac is much more better than Mopar. Quality of interior/exterior, technology etc. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
