Hi All,
I am looking upgrade the firmware on my 2002 Seville.
Where can I find an Authorised Repair station to send my unit to.
Or would any one have an address or Firmware Disc?

Re: DENSO Firmware upgrade

What new features of fixes does the new firmware have?

Just wondering why one would want to upgrade the firmware on the NAV units.

Ya, to what Thu said... What problem are you trying to fix.

BTW there is no way to upgrade the firmware in the "base" Bose system. Not sure about the NAV head unit.

Re: DENSO Firmware upgrade

yeah, i took my car to my local caddy dealer and they also said i needed a firmware update... not sure though if he meant for my denso nav or with my computer. i had asked him to recalibrate it with a tech 2 so my car knows that it has nav (it was originally a non nav) and he didn't do it cuz he said something needed a firmware update. i would like to see some more info on this too if anyone knows anything about it

Re: DENSO Firmware upgrade

It's really a shame that nobody understands and writes down what the service personel tell them. This guessing game stuff is counterproductive.

Re: DENSO Firmware upgrade

hey, i was more concerned about getting the voice command working on my nav, not about the update at the time. i just figured i'll look more into it when i have time later and some input on here first may prove productive when i go back and talk to the dealer.

Well I am experiencing the following issues:

1. Cd repeats track currently playing after issuing any voice command
2. After exiting car if cd has been playing upon re-entry head unit has switched itself to TV or Radio (off Station) (very Random this one )
2a Also if you leave car in middle of track, Track will resume and repeat again.
3 Sometimes when selecting a different CD display shows CDX error. Only way to clear this, Stop car set alarm then disarm and error msg is gone WTF!
4.Noticable amount of Bass variation when when playing different CD's if you move bass on touch screen to 0 and back to 128 the bass level returns.
5. The loudness Bass/curve seems off I.E. Low volume levels have little bass response (funny thing my other cad (99 Seville) never suffered from issue 5

Ok chaps would you have any address or phone numbers for service.

I realise I might have buy another one while this gets shipped state-side but I dont care, I just want it fixed

Your problem is different then the other guy... I used to say that swapping NAV system was impossible... I was wrong... it is really really hard... But can be done...

This thread has all the info that you and your dealer needs to update your BCM... I'm pretty sure the denso unit is not "flash" upgradable.
