Re: Blinker wont shut off

Yup, you have to replace the entire turn signal lever assembly. Not sure if it controls your wipers too, but if it does it will be pricey. The turn signal/wiper stalk went bad on my 99 blazer once, the part was around 300 dollars, not to mention labor.

Re: Blinker wont shut off

my 2000 eldo did that. and then once it just didn't work at all.
cost me 138.97 CND to get a new unit. I get 60% discount on labor because i have connections. so it should be under 200 bucks for you

Re: Blinker wont shut off

Rags, what year what car?
On the old style switches you can replace a 2 dollar spring to fix this.
It helps if you put in your profile what type and year car you have so we don't have to ask if you forget to post it.

Re: Blinker wont shut off

You should be able to replace the spring on that one.
You need a few special tools to get the lock plate off to inspect the cancel springs in the turn signal switch.
