AC turns on but won't blow cold - already tried several possibilities with no luck

Ok. I picked up the car from the shop today after a five day-long circus of trying to figure out why the AC won't blow cold. The problem still isn't solved but I have a buyer sending a truck to pick up the car in a few days and I just want to be over and done with it all.

However, as a last ditch attempt, if I can fix this problem without spending a dime (I'd bring it back to mechanic with specific instructions and tell him to fix it for free), I'd like to fix it.

1996 Caddy Seville with 47,775 miles and blown head gasket.

- AC turns on and blows (I'm pretty sure I even heard the compressor turn on)
- Fuses, relays, etc., are fine.
- Compressor, actuator, clutch, coils, etc. are all new.
- Drive belt is brand new.
- Serpentine belt is new.
- There are no leaks.
- There are no current codes, although 1314 and 1315 were stored in the history.
- I had mechanic clear codes and then evacuate and recharge system.
- Fuel level is currently close to being on E.
- Temperature outside is about 77 degrees.

Car had been sitting in driveway for a few weeks. Serpentine belt shredded. Mechanic said compressor seized and broke the belt. He replaced the compressor and such for $800.

Any ideas?

B1314 - Evaporator Inlet Temp Sensor Open Circuit
B1315 - Evaporator Inlet Temp Sensor Short Circuit

That sheds a whole new light on it. I'd suspect that sensor or the wiring to it.

Has the orifice tube been replaced?
It sounds like it has and maybe it was put in backwards... this will break the tip off the inlet temperature sensor and cause those codes.
I have seen it happen before and it will drive you mad when it does.
The only real trick is getting the orifice tube back out if this happens.
Also the inlet temp sensor will need replaced if this is the cause.

You can see in this pic why the short end of the orifice needs to go in first
due to the proximity to the sensor. You can also see the crimp in the tube
that locates the orifice.
