My little project car...

Remove this ad
I bought this car for about $1100 and with absolutely no problems, it was my aunts and she needed money and well, its now mine.

I've been in the progress of doing some MAJOR body work, since there were quite a few dents and well, im taking off the trim off the doors and i still have to figure out the bumpers trim.

I might remove the hood ornament and get an STS grille to go with this one, maybe one with the NEW Caddy logo.

Well here is the pictures of the work i've done, they are part of my portfolio and well im Only 20 but i have a good sense of what im doing....I think. LOL. The new color might be a Metallic Gunmetal Pearl, or even black .

Re: My little project car...

i notice that you're going to drill holes to allow drainage...

is that really the only option when it comes to the condensation building up?

also, where/how big should the hole be drilled?

Not that big at all, just use a 1/8 and just drill about 5-7 holes long the CLEAR PLASTIC part on the bottom and you should be fine. Condensation will still build up but will disappear after 20-30 mins after a wash.

Yes she was very rough on her, but heck, its gonna be one beautiful car once im done.

Re: My little project car...

Crap, I discoved rust underneath the car. Might cuz it off and then weld another piece of metal into it, this is bad news, I might check it out later to see if I can find more rust.

Re: My little project car...

You could probably have parted it out for more than $1100 and saved a lot of labor. I admire your enthusiam though

Re: My little project car...

It looks like shit.
It's good to know your fixing it up.
The SLS's problem is that door crap you were talking about.

Re: My little project car...

Very cool...... looks like a fun project...... Wouldn't you make more work by changing the exterior color, due to the doors ,etc.? ( Or how about just do a candie in the same red?)

Re: My little project car...

The only thing you'll need when it's done is a $300 custom, limited edition mesh grille. http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...iscussion.html (V-Series Grille Progress and Discussion)

Re: My little project car...

clear plastic part.. so confused :-P

i would love, if as though it were part of your project, to diagram correct placement of the holes on a picture of the tail lights

that would rule :-D

Re: My little project car...

Cool. Sounds like fun.
I am sure the car will turn out very nice.
I am anxious to see it when it's complete.
Good luck.
