Never have used it before are there any tips you would pass along. When i wax the car I do all the top surface (roof, trunk and hood) all at once then due lower (bumpers and doors) all at once, not panel one at a time.

as for tips, I would say make sure your car is in complete shade when doing the clay bar. the showtime detail spray that you need to apply on the body of the vehicle drys really quick in direct sunlight. When waxing I actually preferred the direct sunlight because it helped the wax dry sooner. which caused being able to wipe off the wax sooner.
the directions that come in kit are pretty self explanatory. |

I think you may wanna change your rims to factory shiny ,polished ones .Otherwise have them polished if possible 'cos those rims very well looking .It would make big difference |

ALSO, check out the ads. There is a set of 17 inch 2006 STS rims with Michelins on them on there pretty reasonably priced. If they fit, it would really dress your car up even more. I was considering them for my wife's 2001 SLS, but I JUST bought new michelins about a week ago for her 16 inch rims. |

thanks guys, I have always thought that the tire shine stuff lessens the life of the tire. I am probably wrong but thats why I didnt put it on. I do have access to the stuff because my father puts it on his car. If I am wrong let me know and I'll start dressing the tires.
The wheels are from a 2000 something Deville, he swapped the STS wheels and put them on his Deville. The owner said they are called brushed aluminum. I will definitely keep my eye out for the chrome STS wheels. What price is a good deal for all four in good condition? |

I second (fifth ?) the wheel swap. I've had good luck with detail products from autogeek.net in Palm Beach, FL. Bewildering array of everything from carnauba to microfiber to chemicals.....and a fairly good CD on detailing. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
