| Re: Anybody ever fix a Seville sunroof gasket? I struggled with a noisy, leaky sunroof for years before finally giving up and taking to a specialty shop. Boy was that a good decision. Yeah it cost more than trying to do it myself, but what a difference. No leaks, no windnoise and -- best of all -- no more rattling in the tracks whan I go over bumps.
That said, you can certainly try to do it yourself. Several websites offer replacement gaskets, but you should use a a special GM adhesive (they sell it) to do it right and it can be tricky in terms of curing time, etc. Also getting the timing right on the little motor gizmo that moves it can be a pain, let alone the removal/reinstallation hassles involving the glass.
But my advice is to have it done professionally... |
