Re: trouble code help

The input speed sensor monitors the input shaft speed. The PCM uses its information to monitor shift timing, TCC slip speed and gear ratio. It is a $20 part $2000 deep in the trans. I would suspect it will not shift properly if it is inop.

Not sure if that would set the T073 and disable the T/C or not. That may or may not be a separate issue.

Re: trouble code help

I had the same code in my Seville. It came up as a low speed sensor. I never felt any difference so I ignored it for 40k miles. Then the trans exploded at 100k miles. I should have not ignored it..... I dont know what the sensor does, but the dealer told me that it was probably not shifting properly and slipping which I didnt feel and triggered the sensor. All I know is that it cast me a $3k GM rebuilt unit..
