hello guys i have a 95eldorado etc and traction disabled is displayed in the dic i was wondering is this a major concern and what might have caused this thanks
Did you hit the traction control button accidentally?
Or, as often, I could be wrong. Took my STS out and hit the traction button and the DIC reads "Traction Control OFF" - not disabled. May be a wheel speed sensor gone or something similar that is causing the problem.
Press and hold the OFF and warmer (red) buttons together for about 5 seconds untill the instrument cluster lights up. It will then show you the codes. When it gets to "PCM?" you can simply shut the car off to exit diagnostics mode. Have a paper and pencil ready to write down the codes. If it goes too fast, wait till it says "PCM?" and tap the OFF button once for it to repeat them. When you're done post them up here and someone will help you.
Surprisingly I have the same exact problem on the same car. 95 ETC with TRACTION CONTROL DISABLED, also the car strarts off in 2nd gear. I just did the (OFF and red botton together) and here is what is shows:
TO33 current
SO25 history
S026 history
S028 history
S030 history
S044 history P056 history
Any input will be appreciated,
Thank you in advance!
just found out that T033 is RR wheel speed sensor continuity fault but no clue what that means. do I need a new RR speed sensor??
Also P056 is Transmission Input Speed Sensor - what is that?
As for S*** codes, i think I had them b.c. I have Arnott and Eibach on four corners ( Love them!!)
Thank you guys!
traction disabled/abslight comes on on my 95 eldo, ive noticed the colder the weather the longer it takes to come on,sometimes in etreme cold it doesnt come on at all(5degrees f. and under) whats up with that? the car is extremely sluggish when traction is disabled.
