What COULD I do to my 1997 eldorado without messing with the computer?
and which of the newer cadillacs have chips for them? Thanks for your reply

See the sticky posted at the top of the forum "Performance Parts". Only the OBD-I cars have chips available, and that is up until 1995.

You COULD just drive it and enjoy it. Standard stuff applies -- different mufflers usually help. Different intakes can both help and hurt ... not much to gain there really. There's not much like superchargers or camshafts available. The performance market for FWD Cadillacs is relatively small. Check the Northstar tech section. There's a thread there about trying to reprogram the ODB-II computer (but I'm not holding my breath, personally).
