Moisture in the headlight

Remove this ad
I have moisture build up in my read headlight, is there anyway i can disasemble the headlight, and reasemble with new silocon.

Not really, but I have had success by laying a small silicone bead around the lens seal. I am afraid you may break the lens if you try to remove it.

just thought id throw in my 2 cents real quick, i've heard that if you scrub on your headlights and/or taillights with the brush while your washing your car you'll have a much higher chance of getting moisture inside the lens.

Huh What is the theory behind this? It makes no sense to me. I scrub mine all the time to get the bugs off. No moisture. Sounds like a myth to me.

Um... my 1 cents

I read some mercedes were having similar problems with moisture. If I recall correctly, they drilled small drainage hole in bottom of lens cover.
