Really wanted to get some DTS razors but I may get a good deal on these. But which ones should I go with? 55 or 65, was thinking the 65 would maybe give me a little better ride since Im goin up an inch. These are Vogue Rio's.
Cheers everyone! Happy St. Patty's day!

Re: 235/55R17 or 235/65R17

The 65s are going to be too tall. 235/55R17 is actually already a little taller than your current tire. Your current tire (a 225/60R16) is about 26.6", and a 235/55R17 is 27.2"...so you're already gaining 1/2".

A 235/65R17 is 29.0" tall...which is too tall for your application.

So go with the 55? Cool I can get a better deal on tires in that size.

Re: 235/55R17 or 235/65R17

If your car originally had 225/60-16's then 245/50-17's would be perfect. The diameter would be nearly dead on and keep your speedometer correct.

Then again if you're concerned with ride quality your in trouble. 50 series tires will certainly give you more road feel, sharper turn in and a stiffer ride...you'll think you're driving a sports car.

I'm running 255/50-17's on my 99 STS with no issues whatsoever...and I'm running Eibach springs too.

Good luck!
