Stalling 99 STS mystery

Glad the fix is in. Something for anyone having a peculiar intermittent miss, particularly when cold or humid: AT NIGHT, dark, (engine cover off earlier) open the hood and start the car and look for arcs and sparks around plug wire and coil towers. Might save you a lot of frustration. (No, it won't work on later COP (Coil On Plug ignition setups......)

I know this post is now over, but your later symtpoms on page 3 with the backfiring, etc, was similar to mine before i changed my 100,000+ mile old wires and plugs. Glad you're back on the road with some piece of mind!!

I am having the same issue, when I come to a stop sometimes.... When the car is ... in between 3/8th and 1/2 on the temp gauge (not completely warmed up yet) the car will some times stall out... I'll re read this post when I have a bit more time, but its nice (not in a literal sense) to see someone else with this issue.... Another thing that the car does is sometimes when I try to start the car, it sits and cranks and wont start like its flooding or something...

When It does it again, I will pull the codes.. I pulled them once, but I forgot what they were for, I just kept clearing them out...
