I know they rounded everything off in '98, but are the designs similar enough that someone could swap the nicer looking later headlamps and HIDs into the earlier STS' ?

You may be able to do it with some body work, but it certainly wouldn't be a "bolt on".

Some folks have done BMW lights into their 92-97 Seville. E36 I think is the generation (of BMW). I believe it's a 3-series light from the mid '90s. It also involves some body work, but it looked pretty nice. I've seen it on an STS in pictures.
