At least two things can cause this code. One would be having to jump start your car with an external power source that has poor voltage regulation. Like a battery charger, or another vehicle with the engine running (in that case the other vehicle has a charging system problem). Any of this ringing a bell?
Another cause could be your own alternator voltage regulator is failing. If you have not had to jump start from an unknown voltage source, you should get your charging system checked. |
To tell the truth there is a bit of familiarity there, (ringing of a bell).
The first time I read that code was months after I drained my battery messin with the stereo.(Never checked the codes before) Was doin that just after getting it and never checked codes for mnths after. Had to boost
Have since cleared the codes and never had to boost or anything since, but ended up with the same ones again.
An RIM and a DDM...Both both B1328
Appears to keep a good charge. No problems starting even after sitting with ignition off before going into work and then again when coming out at lunch to smoke with just the radio on.
Fires right up when needed.
I also have an IRC U1016 loss of comunication in history that reapears.
Could it all be tied together as the loss of comm ??
