Question Wet floor after it rains

Remove this ad
I have a problem with my 2000 STS getting wet. The passenger side rear floor board area gets water standing on it after it rains. I've checked the inside (headliner, door panel, seats.) for dampness and can't find anything else inside thats wet or damp. The only thing I can think of is maybe a drain tube for the moon roof has came off somewhere. Has anyone else had this problem that can tell me where to look? Thanks.

Re: Wet floor after it rains

Not really sure how your car is, but you gotta remember, water will high the metal of the car, and probably not the fabrics. If there's a gap inbetween, which there probably will be, it'll just run straight town to the floor. And it'll collect there and cause problems. Get this fixed ASAP, cuz it can get nasty.

Re: Wet floor after it rains

You said the magic word, moon roof. There is a drain in each corner. Check the right rear tube, It should run down through the trunk. If it runs through the trunk OK and is not dislodged, get a length of .080 weed wacker line and use it to rod out the line to be sure it is not plugged.
