Only cost $7 s/h if one ever burns out. I have not found any other place that has this warranty. I just got an eldo and one of my fogs is burned out and im definatly replacing with these. I drive a truck for a living and they are put to the test 5 days a week hours on end and after a year and half of being jarred around one finally went out. So heres the website! http://www.eurodezigns.com/faq.htm |

The ones I got from eBay have a lifetime warranty too.
They're the SpyderGlow's.
I have a relative who's a trucker.
You must really enjoy the Eldo, huh!? |

You can learn everything you want to know about lighting from Daniel Stern's website.
This is what I see on that Euro designs website: http://www.danielsternlighting.com/t...e/bad/bad.html
If you just have to have that "white" light, there are blue-coated bulbs that will produce a "white" light, albeit at reduced levels as compared to normal halogens: http://www.danielsternlighting.com/t...good/good.html
If you are using the bulbs from that Euro designs WWW site, I would suggest a pair of GE Nighthawk bulbs. Unlike most "boutique" bulbs out there, to include the Silvania Silverstar, the GE bulbs are NOT coated with any sort of film. They are strictly a high efficiency halogen bulb (Plus+50 as its normally referred to) that produces about the most light out there, save for a TRUE HID bulb (which costs hundreds of dollars each). The Nighthawks won't produce light quite as white as a Silvania Silverstar, but it'll produce a whole heckuva lot more light. Personally, I'd rather have more light than colored light. That said, the GE Nighthawks DO have a noticeably whiter light than a stock halogen. I replaced the standard Silvania 9007s in our Grand Caravan with the Nighthawks and it looks like I have completely different headlight assemblies in there. They throw light WAY down the road, but the headlight aim itself is still good from the factory, so oncoming drivers aren't blinded. Best $20 I've ever spent on a car.
The Silvania XtraVision bulbs are Plus+30 bulbs...better than standard halogens, but not quite to the levels of the GE Nighthawk, OSRAM Silverstar, etc. That's right -- OSRAM makes a Silverstar bulb that is a true uncoated bulb, but I don't think you can buy those in the US. Silvania (of which OSRAM is the parent company) sells the Silverstar bulb here, but it's coated with a blue film. Even the new "Ultra" Silverstars are coated. Plain as day on the store shelves. |

I now see the LIGHT. Makes sense to me, never knew why the bulbs were blue, but now i do. Ive been reading on these knockoff bulbs like a sponge in a bucket. So now my question is how do i locate these GE Nighthawks, are they at the local parts store or wal mart? did an internet search on them and have heard many good remarks on them but couldnt find were to get em. I am just replacing the fog bulbs and would rather thow out more light than colored light. Also I have read a little on the phillips x treme bulbs, they claim to be 80% brighter, would you suggest those or the nighthawks? |

You can get those at Wal-Mart. |

Their Xtravision bulb is their best bulb out there, and it's not the best you can buy. Sylvania's Cool Blue is their cheapest blue-coated bulb. I had those on my '97. They were okay...nice white light, but one burned out after 1 year, which is typical of coated bulbs. I replaced them with the Xtravisions, which gave much more light.
Sylvania also makes the Silverstar, which is a coated bulb (you can plainly see this in the packaging). They also make an "Ultra" Silverstar, which I was hoping was going to be the same as the Osram Silverstar, which is a true Plus+50 NONcoated bulb (like the GE Nighthawk). No deal -- the Ultra Silverstar is simply another really expensive blue-coated bulb, again, plainly visible in the packaging.
I say I'm done with Sylvania because they don't sell, to my knowledge, a true Plus+50 bulb. The Xtravision is a Plus+30 bulb...still better than stock, but not as good as you can buy. The GE Nighthawks are Plus+50 bulbs, are available at a Wal-Mart near you, and trade for a very reasonable price. There are other bulbs very similar, but perhaps harder to find, like the Narva Rangepower+50 and the Philips Vision Plus. The GEs are available at my Wal-Mart for 20 bucks for a pair, which is about half-way between a normal bulb and a Silverstar. I would skip anything labeled as "Xenon", and definitely anything with a coated glass.
The GE Nighthawks will NOT provide a light that's as white as a Silverstar. I find it very similar (in color only) to the Cool Blues that I used to have. That's not the point of the Nighthawks. Whiter light usually doesn't equal more light. The light IS a much whiter light than standard halogen (again, in my opinion about equivalent to a Cool Blue in color). I find it a much "cleaner" light and I really really like them. I think you will too.
Edit: Can you provide an Internet link for the Philips "X treme" bulbs? |

Havent really searched to much on them, but i did notice an interesting test on this site on the left side. "The 2005 Auto Express Bulb Test" it shows the top three bulbs that won the test, the Silverstars are on there and come close to the Phillips+50, so I think I might try the Phillips Xtremes due to their claim of 80% more, and that they are the latest and greatest. Just have to calculate BGP to dollars! http://www.powerbulbs.co.uk/
Did some more research Heres the Phillips website. http://www.nam.lighting.philips.com/...tremepower.php

As long as they're a NONcoated bulb, I don't see anything wrong with them...as long as you can easily find them at a reasonable price. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
