2007 SRX - Initial impression

My wife and I just bought a 2007 SRX, V8, Magnetic Ride Control, Infrared Exterior and Ebony Interior, special wood trim on steering wheel and shifter.

We have had the vehicle for about three weeks and we just think this is the best vehicle we have ever driven. We just love this SUV. We liked the chiseled look of the exterior for a long time, but the new interior is a HUGE improvement over the 2006. The ride is super smooth, fit and finish is tight, the Northstar V8 is a powerhouse, handling is like a sports car and the interior is super quiet. Everything about the vehicle feels, acts and looks like a "top in class" vehicle.

I bought the SRX for my wife, I drive a Lincoln Mark VIII (which I love) and the SRX is just a way better vehicle than the Lincoln. Also, I recently drove a Lexus RX330 for 3 days and the SRX is way better in every way than the Lexus.

We have only had it for a short time, but we are really happy with our purchase so far and would have no recommendations for improvement.

Good to hear you like the SRX. Lots of negative posts here but that is to be expected. We all look for answers when we have problems. All automotive forums I have looked at have negative posts that will make you to not want to buy a particular vehicle.

Do make my wife ride in my '94 Mark VIII (to her a.k.a. butt burner) on short trips to keep it exercised.

Great review! Thank you! I also LOVE the new interior. What an improvement! I haven't driven an SRX yet - but I will shortly... My wife is interested in a Cadillac to replace her RX300.. The Escalade, CTS and SRX are all on her list.

I am so glad you like your SRX. The new 2007 is improved very nicely on the inside that the 2006,2005 and 2004 didn't have much changes. The sport appearance package is very nice looking with the 20" wheels...
