It only takes one of these people out of 100 if you have to work in proximity to them to make your life miserable. Unfortunately you can't divorce them and changing jobs can be prohibitive too. |

It was the one for the fuel line hold down at the EGR Valve.
I did not have one on that location until the last month or so.
I am very sure of that.
Yes the two across from me hassle me about this car.
Yes they have rushed me so they could use shop equipment that I was using on it.
I have 4 stalls and they each have 2. They use a stall on my side of the shop from time to time.
I would hear 10 times a day "get that Fiero out of the shop" and then the manager would start in.
I don't think I dropped the nut down the port. it was taped off. I am 80% sure.
I had this intake in my garage attic for along time. I am not sure what it came from.
Before I removed the intake I rolled the engine over on the engine stand.
If the nut was in it it may have been still in it. After I repaired the block I rolled the engine over with the intake back on to check for coolant leaks.
I had a pressure tester rigged up to it. to make sure it would not leak.
The intake had been sitting on the bench before this. I feel the nut came from inside the manifold.
Either I installed it that way or someone helped me.
I told the service manager that I found a nut in the port. He said you know no one would have done it. He said the before I was done talking. He knows the stress in my shop.
Any way you look at it I should have paid better attention to it and even the misfire. I could have prevented this if I would have looked at the misfire alittle closer.
It just land back to me. |

I will send it back to you with all factory perameters at the mid level. What this means is I will not crank it way up. I will not go outside anything the factory has done. After that We will do another level upgrade. I want you to be happy. I don't want to go all out and you not like it. |

| | Cadillac Owners Member Cadillac(s): Cadillac | | | | | A few words on this idea,,, Since no one has broke the back of the programing for Caddys what he is doing is selecting non emissions/speed rated programs used for limited production, custom tuned for extra power, speed, and outside the US you dont get the EPA stomped on programs your US based cars have.
Think of itthis way if you dont have a government watchdog threatening to stick a sniffer up your tail pipe you can get rather aggreswsive with tuning PARAMETERS (these are the bounds the computer controls are limited too) when some rich person outside of US or dignitary needs a limo to pull up to 130 mph to then this is the prgrams he is using.
See the masticated, strrangled, restricted program all tyuo nay sayers have just dont let the car perform as good as it could.
Most cars today coming from GM,Ford or who ever are dumbed down ,,this is why Jrt, Hypertek,Superchips,Edge and so many others are hacking the PCM programing and on most cars you can plug in a program and in a few minutes your car has an extra 25 to 50 hp with approriate addon parts to work together.
I can tell you that I know several people I know in racing who had swapped in older style Caddy engines and with a lighter car and free flowing exhaust and better gears and so many otherthings that performance cars have to help power and they loved the massive power from the caddy engines.
Heck dig up an old 500 CID add in a set of freshened up 70 model heads and new cam and you can have a 12 to 1 compression torque monster and it will fit in a Chevelle.
also all that power to haul around a 25 ft 5-6k lb limo in yout 4500lb would be like dropping at least 1 or 2 seconds off the elapsed times of a lighter car.
Add in new cams ,better exhaust, CAI, and proper program it would be a very fun ride.
Also dont figure on many companies hacking the Caddy program, the real hotrod Cads got different computers from what I heard (at least the 3 I saw on road courses had "vette puters and the LS engines as DOHC wast allowed) .
anyway give the guy a break besides his Fiero is cool, thinking of buying the one my nephew has and dig up an engine. |

Exhaust modified and air intake box. I did not test drive, but Burt said That the Program is impressive. It Revs higher and shifts firmer.
I asked Burt the Leave a posting after he takes it out for a good test drive. |

I hope theres no damage in taking it that far into the red. Firmer shift is good too. Anything on torque management? That has a lot of power locked up in it....Just made freinds with a tech at Vera Cadillac here in South Florida. |

First, it is nice to see so many people that are into modifying their Cady's, or attempting to modify them.
My name is Bert, I am the owner of the 03 DHS that AJ just "tuned" earlier today, don't worry I forgive you AJ for mispelling my name. Anyway, I know you all have a million questions about this process. I am hoping I can answer at least a few of them in this post. I am NOT a mechanic or an IT guy, so I don't fully understand everything involved, I know it must be hard because nobody else can do what AJ has done for me.
Earlier today AJ "tuned" or "upgraded" my stock computer program. Once again I own an 03 DHS not DTS so basically the same thing as a SLS except heavier. 275 horse northstar with I believe, 311 gear ratio, hardly performance stuff.
Anyway, I took it out tonight and tryied to find an area to "test" it. It's raining here but I got lucky and found some time inbetween showers. My first impressions are: It definetly pulls harder, now I actually get some tourqe steer, nothing terrible but that signifies that there is a little more power there, to me. 2nd, it revs up higher I believe stock it was just under 6000 rpm now it is about 6400-6500. It shifts harder at WOT (wide open throttle) nothing crazy but definetly a firmer shift or downshift when stomping on it. When driving normal I notice NO differences, that is good, in MY opinion, yours may vary.
My major original concern was to remove the fuel cut off, which on my car cut the fuel at 110 or 112 mph, I can't remember exactly which but basically right after my car shifted into third. I only hit 103 tonight because of traffic but boy it shifted firmly into third at 97 and felt gooood, but then I had to let off. I will attempt again tomorrow or in the near future and find out for sure if it'll go over 110 or 112 but my gut says it easily will. I will post again after I know for sure but so far I am extremely happy.
AJ keep up the good work!!! |

Im lookin to chirp tires, can you make that happen?! I hope this guy will be a little more detailed on his performance increase. What exactly did you do to his DHS AJ? You've got my attention again...I have a PCU, sittin right next to me, and I have your adresse. |
