    Talk to my PCM

ok, i'm new to this here forum, but i would like so feedback on this. i got a repair manual for any GM 98-03 my Dell PC that gives me standard FSM options. but it also give me a tech 1 program. it's called Tech1_DCLP. i haven't hooked up my wiring to the OBDII connector yet, but as far as i can tell it runs through MS-DOS. what will i be able to do with Tech 1? not much, right? don't most cars now need Tech 2 to talk to them?
