Just a lil commentary from the peanut gallery:
The calendar should have some consistancy in regards to blacking out license plates, maybe super imposing a cadillacforums.com plate on them.
Pictures should have some artistic nature; people's houses are really nice, and i know some of us baby our cars, but they should leave the driveway!
Diversity will be key so we can have a well rounded calandar.
I vote the finishline red V for july the pic w/ the chopper even thuogh there are onlookers in the pic who can blame them.
Nice rides guys!!! |

thx in advance. | Those are digital pics (Sigma SD) 2268 X 1512 x 3 layers (1 for each primary color) a little different than the traditional digital SLR. Obviously resized for here to fit here.
Excellent camera. |

The pics need a little spit & polish. Please re-submit some of these with less background noise if possible. There's plenty of time to get this right.
You're ALL to be commended! |

"Free calendars for those selected, and waiver of month of dues for supporting members who buy the calandar" is that what you just said? Lets talk to the Big Guy. |

Look past your car when you shoot. No one wants to see your garden tools in the garage, trash cans or other cars. The background can make or break a good Pic IMO. |

Ben, your BAD pics are better than most people's GOOD pics!
Robert nailed it, look BEYOND the car and see if there are any distractions. Anything beyond 100 ft. is probably okay.
Some pics show trees or hanging tree limbs really close to the car, that's probably not good. But if you park the car 30 feet in front of a row of trees or bushes, it looks okay sometimes.
Telephone poles aren't good. Houses or other structures sometimes can be.
In one of Ben's pics, if he had just pulled the car 20 feet forward it would've been outstanding. There's one example where it's great, and another where it's just SO CLOSE to being perfect, but falls short.
It's a tough call. I always go trial and error on things like this. Take some chances, take a LOT of pics. You'll be able to see what works and what doesn't.
One thing I can guarantee you, for some reason, WATER is always a good background. |
