Re: What was the best years for Cadillac?

well you can't just pick a certain look. The 59s rocked. the '60s models were awesome, the early '70s had the horizontal lights (which i LOVE) rather than the vertical lights from the '60s and the back end of the '60s SO I LOVE EARLY 70s. and I LOVE the '95 ETCs. I'd love to have one in black.

Re: What was the best years for Cadillac?

I liked every Caddy from 59 through 81. My favorite were 75 and 76, with 68 being a pretty close second.

Re: What was the best years for Cadillac?

Well 68 was the last year for vertical placed headlights. the horizontal side by side headlights were introduced in 69. but since the body didnt change much from the 68 models it did look kinda funny. but it was a cadillac none the less!
im gone.

Re: What was the best years for Cadillac?

Yeah the 68 had the vertical lights and the 472, so it was a good year.

Re: What was the best years for Cadillac?

Why can't I vote for '03 and up? Original styling and sales numbers are going up. Caddy's second rennaissance?

My personal favorite styling had to be in '59 though. When they were built to resemble rocket ships. Fins, lights, and chrome. Pretty much every Eldorado design was good though(ignoring the 80's of course)...

Re: What was the best years for Cadillac?

...and that is pure opinion.
Remember that many people criticized tailfins too.

Re: What was the best years for Cadillac?

I heard one of the reasons they got rid of tailfins is because people we getting impaled or punctured when someone would parallel park.

When I saw a 1959 Eldo at the car show this summer, my jaw hung open for about 2 days. I was in love! It was a light pink color not unlike another beauty of 1991 vintage complete with fins and skirts.
