| Re: Cadillac La Salle Lasalle was Cadillac's companion car designed by Harley Earl in 1927. Production ended with the 1940 model. They were the lower priced model designed to be the "starter cadillac". My Dad had a 1938 in the late 60's when I was a young lad and I remember the banjo steering wheel, jump seats and dual sidemounts. The motor was stuck and he sold it thru an ad in hemmings in 1972 after restoring the body and interior. Beautiful cars with all the classic Cadillac appeal. Actually, only a trained eye can tell the difference between a Lasalle and a Cadillac.
I don't know if a Lasalle fits the motif of this forum, but the Cadillac-Lasalle club and many others do have forums for Lasalle. We want you to stay with us, but for technical help another forum would probably help you more.
I would love to see pics and welcome to the forum. 472 Fred |
