Are you talking about the LT4? I would not be surprised if the V gets a detuned version offering a little less HP (maybe 625ish HP?) that can be easily modded.

$78,995 for a base Z06 with 650HP is awesome! These are truly great car days!

This revelation makes me more confident that the V3 will come in somewhere around $85k, nicely equipped.

GM has landed a terrible blow to the Viper with this move!

Me thinks a 3LZ/Z07 will crack 100K though. But still a heck of a deal considering a ZR-1 was a lessor car for more dollars.

Exactly. Last gen ZR1 (@ $120k) was awesome but a C7 Z06 loaded with all the goodies for $100k would be awesomer!

With the Z06 at $78,995, I think the CTS-V will come in at $74,995, 85k loaded. I can't wait to see the mileage my guess is 27mpg or 28mpg on the highway. I think the CTS-V will come in at 27mpg highway if the go with the LT4, which I am pretty sure they will from the sounds of the car at Nurburgring. Can't wait for them to release the lap time there.
