I just saw an article on gminsidenews.com talking about the lack of traffic at dealerships in October. Many dealers spoke about how traffic at their Caddy
dealership was the slowest compared to the other stores they owned.

The question is: Why were Cadilllacs not given Value Pricing?
The dealers want to know.
And I as the consumer want to know.

Why is a slow selling SRX now $39,995? You would've thought the price would
be less, not more.

Well, now the MSRP's have been cut down a bit....

As a direct quote from a GM press release/story:

Pricing for much of the Cadillac lineup already is well-positioned. With today’s announcement, CTS and SRX MSRPs also were repositioned. 2007 Escalade pricing will be announced next week.

So, in essence, they think most are priced properly anyway (with exception to the CTS/SRX, that they changed), so they left it that way.
