    ATS-V to get a 425 HP TT-V6 instead of a V8

I know this is the CTS-V forum, but this is V related.

I read an article yesterday that said that there was the possibility that the ATS-V might get a V8. Doesn't look like it now.

Until GM announces the information, don't read anything you read.

It's not official until GM says so.

This. We also thought the V2 was to get an LS7, per many reports. How did that turn out?

LOL That reminds me of when it was reported that the engine for the V2 would be the LSA with (oh no!) "hypereutectic pistons". Everyone went crazy with dire predictions of massive engine failures.
Well, with the exception of those engines that are heavily modded, .... how did that turn out?

This same grouping of guesses has been bouncing around in the "press" for, what, a year now? Sometimes I think they're so desperate to publish a constant stream of new info and have such a revolving door staff that they don't realize the new rumor they're posting is just a Telephone Game echo of a rumor they posted long ago.

Or maybe people are just now stumbling on articles posted in January 2013 and they think it's current because they haven't yet mentally adjusted to the new year. Still writing /13 on cheques, eh?

Wow, that one is about the worst put together article I've read so far on the ATS-V. Plain stating it will get the 3.6TT V6 and doing a 1 plus 1 is TR-6070, because GM must be too stupid to come up with something new.

    -sigh-
