The new ATS coupe is coming Monday. It's going to have the new caddy logo. Idk why they wouldn't put it on the new CTS?

Meh, I guess I'm different. Before I bought my CTS Coupe in 2012 (not the V) I was considering the new Lexus GS, but it was new and they weren't budging on price. In reality though I had fallen in love with the Caddy coupe. I like the new IS-F a lot and would've considered one if I hadn't bought the V.

Re: Detroit: what will Cadillac reveal?

I was shopping an RX350 to replace my wife's Buick Enclave. The dash in the Lexus looked more dated than the Buick's. We ended up with a Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. Love it.

Lexus use to be bad ass. I can remember when everyone wanted a GS400. That car was flippin' incredible. Now I wouldn't be caught dead in an LS, GS,ES, IS, RX, GX, LX or even an LFA. $378k for a car that gets best by nearly everything in its class....sad, just sad. Lexus is becoming the Honda Accord of the car industry. Lucky for them Toyota is hitting home run after home run.

I used to think the same thing. Except every review I've ever read or seen says that even though other cars are better on paper, the LFA is better in real life. Not trying to defend the brand writ large, but I'd love to have an LFA.

The Lexus rx is absolutely hideous. How anyone cross shops that with an srx and walks away with the Lexus is beyond me. Absolutely ugly. Forget the Aztek.

True! I was trying to get my gf to buy the SRX and she went with the RX. That was 2 years ago and to this day we still argue about it lol I'm always saying "look at the SRX, it's so sharp how can you pick that blimp RX over the SRX?"

I'm going to be bummed if Cadillac doesn't reveal anything substantial. Detroit is home turf -- don't cede it to anyone.

I'm disappointed with the 2015 ATS coupe:

Re: Detroit: what will Cadillac reveal?

The ATS coupe is very conservatively styled, the opposite of the CTS coupe -- but that's exactly as it should be.

Look at the competition -- they're all basically two-door sedans. Handsome but mature, with just a little more low-key drama than the four-doors have.

I'm sure the ATS will get its share of admirers.

However, I do worry that the ATS is coming up short against the competition with its six-speed automatic. MB has seven speeds; Audi and BMW have eight. The ATS might be qualitatively competitive but will the market see it as Cadillac being a step behind?

The Cadillac ATS coupe looks really bad idk what they are thinking and I liked the new badge but it looks horrible on the car. The ATS is was big disappointment style wise from the beginning. If they think they are going to beat the Lexus RC they got another thing coming
