I haven't heard a thing about the upcoming Escalade redesign. Seems like all the chatter surrounding Cadillac has to do with the V-Series models.

    Re: New Model Escalade....

Why would they keep the name Escalade but get rid of the long-established Deville? Is it because of the "old man in Florida" image that Deville conjures, while Escalade is like a hip pop culture icon? It'd be more in-line with their nomenclature to change it to ERX otherwise...

    Re: New Model Escalade....

I think RX in Caddy's new, crappy naming system means crossover, so I doubt it would be used on the Escalade. They might call it ESU (Escalade Sport Utility), but people in New York or Law and Order fans would probably associate ESU with the NYPD Emergency Service Unit rather than Cadillac. All I know is that if they took away Deville, they better take away Escalade.
