I am REALLY surprised they wouldnt put an AWD drivetrain on the V... manual I can see being omitted due ot the ever so popular (but i really hate) paddle shifters... I would have loved to upgrade to a V if it had AWD for my everyday all year driver....

    ----------

I have to admit I also like the rear tails on the current V better.

One of the competitors - Mercedes has a 2014 E63 AWD!

I think they were caught flat footed and thought that nobody would buy a AWD V. I talk to several regional reps a couple of years ago and their feelings from the big wigs is that nobody would buy an AWD V. They are very mistaken if you look at the upscale S6, Panameria, Jaguar sedans.

Are they really that ill informed? I would want AWD due to weather factors, but AWD is 10 times better for handling and such even on dry pavement. Nothing drives like an AWD vehicle.. however, there is some thing at time to be said about true RWD sportscar "fun".... but that's what the 'vette is for... should not be the same standard for the V.
