In addition to revealing General Motors' future plans for driverless vehicles, Rick Wagoner will also take the wraps off of a new Cadillac concept at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas tomorrow. | | Cadillac Owners Enthusiast | | | | | Re: Cadillac Provoq (Concept) The body and interior of this is essentially the upcoming BRX (or whatever they're going to call it), a FWD/AWD crossover. It's platform is a jumble of 3 different existing GM architectures. Theta, Theta II and Epsilon II. (Frankly, I wish GM would give this platform a name of its own)
The production version of this vehicle is due in late '09 or early '10 from what I've read. It should appear at about the time the SRX is euthanized.
Even if a hydrogen power plant is some time away, the 2 mode hybrid system soon to be available in the Saturn Vue can be fitted to this vehicle. |
