No surprise Cadillac is planning RWD sub-CTS

Cadillac is keen to shed its image as a manufacturer of boring luxury barges, so we can expect to see some sporty and dynamic new cars pop up over the coming years at GM's premium division. The first of this new breed of Cadillacs will be an entry-level RWD sedan positioned below the CTS and based on the new mid-sized Alpha platform.

I have been saying that for months. I don't think you can make a SKY into a Cadillac sedan!
It is supposed to be a 2 seat-er drop top. Look at my post about alpha/Kappa.

I got some more info on the BRX.
Not good. It is a SAAB.
    It maybe the Euro BLS.

Cool Re: No surprise Cadillac is planning RWD sub-CTS

I have been doing some thinking and by that I mean "the out of the box, kind." If Cadillac wants to design a smaller car than the CTS, they must do something no one else is doing, make it rear engined, hybrid, hydrogen fuel cell, turbo diesel, and quick. By designing a rear engined car, Cadillac can use a 4 cylinder overhead cam engine (did someone say [B]Shortstar/B]), with a Opal/Holden transaxle, and sharp A & S exterior 2+2 seating (ala Saturn) with completely handsewn interior and aluminum, composite, or psuedo stone trim. The car should be completely modular in design to allow for updates when needed.

This car could be made for much less than the CTS, and offered in a one equiptment, but dealer optional (if needed) design. It should be assembled probably in Bowling Green for more exotic charm.

    What do you think?
